‘Tied together with gold’ reflects the complexities of the world around us using abstracted depictions of the earth, land, and skies around us. Each minuscule detail and the multiple layers of the artwork are painted to represent the varied and often-contrasting complexities of our society. There is a strong emphasis on fragmented gold elements throughout, strung together side-by-side representing our interconnectedness.
We are a mix of beauty and brokenness, darkness and light, dreams, resilience and fragility. We are forever changing, fractured and complex. My ever-present hopes are symbolised by the golden elements and moments of light in the artwork.
