Imagine my excitement after receiving a phone call many months ago, that Block contestants Tess & Luke had chosen my artwork 'Make me blush' to feature on the 2019 season of Channel nine's renovation show The Block. This year the popular TV series is renovating The Oslo, a previous hotel in St Kilda, Melbourne.
I was smiling ear to ear after hanging up the phone from my supplier Artist Lane, who prints and frames my open edition collection locally.
Then I released I would need to keep this secret, on the down low for MONTHS! That's a lot of pressure for a solo artist like me. Never fear, I kept this to myself, and when people asked me what I had planned for the year I led with a vague 'Oh you know, a few exciting things coming up! I'm still working out the details. Stay tuned!'.
Cats outta the bag now as they say - and I finally can share with you the breathtaking formal lounge room team yellow, Tess & Luke from QLD, put together in just one week.

The judges are three esteemed Australian interior designers, Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer.
The judges remarked about the room:
"It's got a sense of grandeur about it. It feels that it fits the heritage of the house."
'Make me blush' features in a large scale 1.5m size above a console table, as you enter the home. The artwork is romantic and alluring, specks of gold hidden among the soft blush, grey and moody black.
